Ice Fishing

So, Andy and the boys and I went ice fishing yesterday through HopeKids.  We had our own little tent with 5 holes cut along the sides of it.  The boys each had a miniature fishing pole.  Asher was totally uninterested in fishing and seemed more interested in sticking his foot in the hole.  I had a nice save where Asher almost fell into the hole, but I grabbed him just in time.  Levi wasn’t really interested either and kept trying to talk me into holding his pole.  Jude was interested in the fishing, but equally interested in hot chocolate refills and snack runs.  For what seemed like half the time, I was holding at least 2 poles.  We didn’t pull any fish out of the lake, but I did pull Asher out of the lake.  He slipped in the hole and had one leg in there almost up to his hip.  We thought we’d have to leave early, but instead went to a warming tent and I camped out with him by the heater and dried his leg and boot while the other boys kept after those elusive fish.  After giving up on fishing, the boys played musical buckets with the other kids and Jude and Levi were equally awesome.
