This afternoon I got a call from the oncologist at Children’s hospital. The pathology report came back from the doctor at Johns Hopkins and confirmed the tumor type that Jude has. This is very good news! It means that Jude will require no further treatment at this time. He will still need to undergo some tests in a week or so; the previously mentioned spinal tap, MRI, and other screenings. He will not need radiation treatments though.
As for how we are doing, good news always helps. Jessica went back to work yesterday, and Jude is doing very well. Besides a 5 inch incision on his head that will have stitches until we go in for the spinal and MRI, he looks like a normal, happy little boy. He has complained a few times of a mild headache, but he’s otherwise doing so well we honestly don’t know if he really has a headache or if he’s just after some tasty children’s Tylenol.
We continue to rejoice and praise the Lord that Jude has had such a spectacular recovery, and that we’ve really only had good news over the last week.
We have really cherished every prayer that has been said on Jude’s behalf. Thank you all so much for your kindness and support!
