So today, as Asher would say, is his “happy 3rd birthday.” We celebrated with my family a couple weeks ago and he got a birthday card with a big 3 on it from my parents. He carried his card around all weekend and his brothers tried to convince him that he was still 2. Asher said, “My happy birthday card says I’m 3.” Case closed. So, the real birthday is finally here. This will be Asher’s first birthday at home — his first birthday was at Jill’s House in Indiana when Jude was going through radiation and his 2nd birthday was in Wisconsin at my cousin’s wedding. We’ll be celebrating on the cheap, as usual, with immediate family only and a $15 cake from Cub Foods.
