To me:  “You’re the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen in my whole life.”

This just in from Andy, “Abby just sat up by herself.”  I clarified with him that she did went from an army crawl to a sit up to sitting position all on her own.  Didn’t know until just now that our Abby has abs!

To me: “You’re the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen in my whole life.”

Me: “Jude, whose team are you on?” Jude: “Yours, but don’t post it.”

“Mommy, I’m on Team Mommy.  Don’t tell Daddy.”

Today Jude and Levi spent a few hours at Sandburg at chess and game camp.  Since it is a public school setting, they offer a “free” breakfast and lunch before and after activities.  Andy picked the boys up and they headed to our kitchen table.  They had each grabbed a chocolate milk for Asher.  Suddenly, Andy …

“You’re the prettiest mom I’ve ever seen and the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen.”  (Not a bad thing to hear on this birthday day.)

Levi was crying about being bored and wanting iPad time.  I told him that we didn’t have iPads when I was a kid.  He replied, “But you didn’t even have electricity.”

To Jude:  “Treat me how I want to be treated.”

Tonight after dinner, Levi and Asher decided to have a food fight.  I tried unsuccessfully to talk them out of it altogether.  But, managed to talk them to at least going to the backyard.  They were smashing pieces of pizza in each other’s hair and throwing whole apples at each other.
