This weekend, we traveled to see my other Grandma, and celebrate her 85th birthday. The surprise party was held at a local restaurant, and on the table was some BBQ sauce made by my aunt, using my late uncle Dave’s recipe. It’s one of those super-secret things, my aunt Cindy is the only person on Earth who knows that recipe now. I bought a jar from her, but the super-secret nature of the recipe has got me curious to find my own recipe that is as-good-or-better (it’s good stuff, that won’t be an easy task).
Grandma Olson’s recipe box has five recipes for BBQ sauce in it. Though there are similarities, my quick scan suggests that none are exactly the same. This is the first, I’ll post the others as well.
