Levi: “My favorite thing to do is to hold Abby when she is awake.”
Jude: “What about when she is screaming?”
Levi: “That is my second favorite.”

“When Abby is awake, she is in mint condition.”
Today Andy, the boys and Abby and I climbed the Usury Mountains. Â I had Abby in the sling carrier. Â She and I held our own, but had a bit of a tough time keeping up with the boys. Â We were planning to go all the way to the top, but Asher tripped while drinking a liter of water, and spilled most of it. Â We needed to head down about 7 minutes from the top because we were out of water. Â Asher was sure mad that we had to quit. Â All the boys have scraped up knees and hands but had a blast.
“Every time when I almost touch my butt, I smell my fingers and then I know whether I need to wash them or not.”
“Mommy, if I eat boogers, do I have to brush my teeth?”
In her short 2-1/2 weeks, Abby has given me plenty to worry about. Â 5 days in the hospital was rough. Â But, the time since then has been rough as well. Â Abby dropped from 7 pounds 7 ounces to 6 pounds 4 ounces. Â The doctor said that normally that drastic of a weight loss causes seizures. Â Our Abby took it well. Â She’s now on the mend and is gaining about an ounce a day. Â She now weighs in at a little over 7 pounds. Â The breastfeeding, pumping and bottling is really getting old, but we are nursing her to good health.
Levi while holding Abby: “Mom, can you post online — 2 weeks old and 6 times smiling.”
Jude: “Mom, Levi was messing with Abby’s belly button and it fell off.”
Levi” “I’m putting it back in!”
So, the boys and Grandma Forbes got Abby 3 helium balloons to celebrate her arrival. Â When Abby came home, she was sleeping but the boys were all over her. Â Levi wanted her to have the balloons that they bought her and put the ribbons tied to them in Abby’s hand and she grasped them in her sleep. Â Asher panicked and said “She’s going to fly away!” Â And, I have it all on video.
I found a quarter and gave it to Asher to put in his piggy bank today. Â He made a pouty-lipped face and said, “I’m going to put it in Abby’s piggy since she has no money.”
